Exciting Update to the Hat Contest!

We’re bringing a fun little twist to the Hat Contest this year! To keep the energy high and make it easier for more folks–especial our enthusiastic youth–to join in, we’re trying out a shorter, livelier format.

Here’s how it will work:

. Participants can register for just $2 per person.
. Voters can purchase a ballot for $1 each to cast their vote.
. During Social/Happy Hour, all contestants will get a chance to parade around with their assigned number, show off their fabulous hats on the Veranda outside by the pond.

. Ballots will be dropped in the ballot jar at the bar area, and
we’ll collect and count them on Friday night after convention night.
. The winner will be announced Saturday evening, kicking off the night with some well-deserved celebration!

Best of all, the winner will receive half of the total funds raised, with the other half going to support our wonderful Convention.

We’re excited to see your creativity and can’t wait to cheer you on–thank you for making this such a fun and festive part of our gathering!

The Theme of the Hats will be based on our slogan: “Where Daylilies and Hospitality Bloom Together” (Based on Southern Hospitality).
